Spring is for new beginnings and Bike Month motivates thousands of people to dust off their bikes and start bike commuting.
Last May, 10,656 people actively logged their bike trips during our month-long Group Health Commute Challenge. By biking to work for one month, we collectively logged 1.5 million miles, burned well over 74 million calories, and saved almost 1.5 million pounds of CO2. Wow!
On F5 Bike to Work Day alone, 20,000 cyclists packing the roads, bridges and trails, presenting an inspiring vision for what the region can look like in the future.
Bike to School 2013 will be Wednesday, May 8, and Bike to Work Day 2013 will be Friday, May 17.
More bicyclists mean safer streets, healthier people, cleaner air and more livable communities. Help us inspire thousands of people to give bike commuting a try, and come ride with us in May! http://www.cascade.org/give
